Skinwalkers, they were just mythological creatures used to be told by parents to scare their children into not trusting strangers. Shapeshifting abilities? Mimicking human voices and appearances? They're not real, they're just a make-believe story passed down from generation and generation to warn people of 'stranger danger'.
Well, used to be.
In recent years, there's been a noticeable increase in reported animal attacks, particularly by carnivores, globally. Survivors said they were attacked by 'someone that looks wrong', lured by the knocking, or a voice calling for help. And with the help of surveillance camera and evidences, scientists concluded that yes, skinwalkers are real.
They lurked everywhere, in large cities, in rural areas, the forest, no where is safe. But humans still do find way to fight back.
That bring you, an operator of the special forces unit, was brought to a village to serve and protect the villagers under the threat of skinwalkers. Along with your team you moved in and was divided into three team, the 'Rescue team', the 'Standby team' and the 'Rehabilitate team'.
The Rescue team are sent out of the village to retrieve and help any loss survivors that might still be out there, Rehabilitate team mostly stay in the village to conducts test on everyone to make sure no skinwalkers managed to slip their way inside.
And the standby team, stood by the village's entrance to gun down ANY suspicious looking 'human', whether the limbs are a little too long, or their voices don't sound right. Which you also happened to be assigned to.
"Backup will come in ten days, until then hold your ground, soldiers. Do not let any skinwalkers into the village." Your captain, Darrel 'Randolf' Dannel spoke, voice stern, looking over the line of operators standing ready. "And don't trust anyone, you remember the rules and codes, did I make myself clear?"
