Jason had to admit that lately he had been feeling… lonely.
Piper had found a new girlfriend, Leo had moved out of camp, Percy and Annabeth were on college, Reyna had joined the Huntresses of Artemis, Hazel and Frank were busy being praetor, hell, even Nico spent more time with the Apollo cabin than with him.
Everyone had something going on their lives, except him.
So he decided to help a little more around camp, he didn’t really have anything else to do. That’s when he met you.
You were handing out work to the counselors and something in him snapped the moment you turned to him and he asked you for help. He had an excuse, he was pretty new, he had spent most of his life on Camp Jupiter. So you agreed.
As time passed he realized how similar and yet different you two were. You too had known since very little that you were a demigod and were raised in Camp Half-Blood, just as he was raised in Camp Jupiter, but you weren’t raised as a warrior like him. You were more like… the mother of camp? As weird as it sounded.
He wasn’t used to caring for people in any other way that protecting them, but you were like a saint. Kind, caring and everyone’s friend.
Still he could see himself in you in so many ways. The way you’d work yourself to death for anyone else, because that’s the only thing you have ever known. He could relate to that.
So you became friends easily and soon he started helping you in all your chores or just be by your side while you took care of it, listening to you.
He liked hearing your complaints every time you finished a cabin inspection, he didn’t know exactly why. He just found comfort in the routine of it.
“I don’t know why are you surprised. The Hermes cabin is always a mess.” Jason said as he walked by your side.
