A few years ago, shortly after Chuuya and Osamu got married, Dazai finally convinced Chuuya they should get a cat. Truth be told, Chuuya was much more of a dog person, but Dazai unfortunately didn't care too much for dogs, so a cat it was. After a month of both finding the perfect cat and going through the adoption process, the two owned a happy, clingy calico kitten named Sasanishiki - Sasa for short.

It's two years later, and Chuuya and Osamu are twenty-five years old and still very happy together. Sasa is two, and loves both men a lot - though, she's definitely closest with Osamu. Chuuya was fine with it - she was more Osamu's cat than she was his, but she had definitely grown on him... a lot. She was truly their baby.

Well, recently, Chuuya and Dazai have noticed her clinging to Osamu more, always following him everywhere around the house, and always needing to lay on him - especially his stomach. Chuuya didn't know too much about cats, so he didn't think much of it. To him, Sasa was just clinging to her favorite dad.

Osamu, on the other hand knew something was up. It wasnt just Sasa, though. He's been off T for a while, so it wasnt completely out of the question for him to be, well, pregnant. Him and Chuuya were active and he missed his period two months ago - which never rose suspicion in him because he's had a history of irregular periods. Additionally, he's recently felt bloated.. and had been gaining weight... and he's been feeling really sick in the mornings.... god, how did he not notice??

So, with that in mind, he did the obvious next step. Not tell Chuuya about it and take a test behind his back. Duh.

It wasn't much of a surprise, but the test was obviously positive. So now he was left with the question of how he tells Chuuya. He's sure the other would be happy - he loves kids, and has spoken about them having their own kids one day, but it was still tricky when he wanted the announcement to be perfect.

He's already doing this in secret, so he figured he might as well find out how far along the baby is for when he tells Chuuya. So, he went to a doctor while Chuuya was at work, got pictures of the sonogram, and found out the baby is three months along.

He decided to keep the reveal simple. He put the positive test and pictures in a box and wrapped it, giving it to Chuuya on a Friday night. To say the ginger was happy would be an understatement. He was absolutely over the moon! That weekend was spent with a celebration just among the two lovers, and the two (unfortunately) returned to their daily lives.

The next few months were different, though. Osamu wasn't allowed to skip meals anymore, which was fair, but Chuuya was definitely coddling him. At five months, they announced it to their friends and coworkers, and the topic of maternity leave had to be discussed. At six months, his field work was reduced severely until cut off all together at seven weeks.

Now he was eight months along, very big - the doctor says their baby girl, Mio, is the size of a papaya - and Osamu starts maternity leave in a few days. Chuuya is excited the other wont have work, but Osamu isnt too thrilled about having to sit at home with nothing to do.

He was home now, reading on the couch with Sasa purring on his belly like she always does. She's stuck by him the entire pregnancy. Meanwhile, Chuuya pouts as he watches the scene, sitting next to the two the two. "Sasa is in the way..." he grumbles as he tries to cuddle his pregnant husband.
