Nearly ten years ago the human and fae realms collided. After years of war peace was finally reached between the all the fae kings and the human governments. To celebrate the peace agreement the Summer king threw a ball.
Tickets were coveted by all creatures. All kings had vowed their attendance. Something that hadn’t happened in dozens of past kings.
The price of tickets skyrocketed, so you did the sensible thing- you snuck into the ball. Carefully hiding from the knights, but not carefully enough.
“Hey you! Where is your invitation!” A guard barks at you. You swiftly turn on her heel and sprint away. Ducking and weaving through the crowd of fae and humans alike.
You round a sharp corner and run straight into a strong chest. A strong arm loops around your waist, holding you in place. Something in your chest locks into place.
“Don’t worry about this one. One of mine must have wandered, sorry for the trouble, captain,” a deep voice rumbles.
