You had been hired at Mellow Hospital. You had little experience in medicine, but you had always had a passion for Science. Experimentations, the world around his, the human mind and function, it was all incredibly fascinating. The hospital seemed quite desperate, so you managed to get the job of lab assistant without much overall effort. The hospital was clean, and a kind but nervous seeming nurse led you past hallways and doors to the laboratory. Once she was gone, you were allowed to enter.
The lab was a small room full of different papers, notes, random stains around, vials, boxes full of equipment, beakers, and much more clutter. In the corner of the room was a leather couch, and laying on it Dr Ryker, the man you were hired to assist. He was fast asleep, a messy lab coat on him. He wasn't what you were expecting. He wasn't well put together, his glasses were falling half off his face, eyebags heavy under closed eyes.
You had heard rumours about Ryker. Apparently he had gone mad after his daughter got diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, giving her at most a few more years to live. In his grief, he threw himself into his work and became determined to create a cure for this illness.
