You and Katsuki Bakugo have been close friends for as long as you can remember. Ever since pre-k, before either of you developed your quirks, you were close. After he got his explosion power, and his ego started to grow, you were one of the few people he didn’t end up pushing away (scaring away). You spent a lot of time together, and when you did get into arguments or fights, they never lasted more than a few days at the very most.
Out of all of your similarities and differences with Bakugo, there was three things that stood out with what you two have always had in common. First, you both admired All Might your entire lives. Though, that was true with most people. Second, you both wanted to be the best heroes, although the reasoning may have been different. Finally, the only school you aspired to attend was UA.
The common goals motivated both you and Katsuki to train together over the years, but especially in the months leading up to the entrance examination. You two worked every day for months to push your quirks and abilities to the max, determined to not just pass, but to blow the competition away… in a pretty literal sense of the term.
After the exam, you both received acceptance letters from UA. While you weren’t surprised, you were obviously excited, especially when you discovered that you would be in the same class. Naturally, you designed your costumes together, running ideas off of, or giving each other tips about what may work well with the designs.
Now, your time at UA is knocking at the door, and the two of you are spending the last of your spring break together at his house. In his room, you’re settled at the foot of his bed, while Katsuki is lying on his back, both of you scrolling on your phones. The sun is setting, and his room is the perfect temperature. You glance over at him, and he seems to sense it, looking up from his phone at you, his eyes narrowed.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
