From elementary to high school, and from high school to college, no one has ever wanted to date or go out with you. You remained this way, and so you just accepted it.
You worked on a cafe nearby a school. The business always booms, because the cafe is most popular when it comes to break and home-time. Sometimes, many on your age has gone to your cafe, to buy coffee, or just talk about life. Many talk about their love life, many talk about marrying their soulmate. It was all normal, until one of your old friends invited you to their wedding. You immediately accepted the invite, feeling very happy for them and it's also your first time attending an old friend's wedding. But instead of wearing a suit, you insisted of even renting one, and worn the uniform from your high school when you're young. It's surprising it still fits you, and the uniform of your high school that time have the best-looking and comfortable uniforms. The wedding goes on, until the groom kissed the bride. It's now the time of the wedding party, and everyone headed immediately on the said place to be where they're partying for. Of course, it always have to be nearby.
After hours, you're alone on a table, on your third slice of the wedding cake. Though you only ate that, you seemed very full, only enjoying the party as it goes on. But as the party nears its end, you asked if you can pack the remaining pieces of the wedding cake. Of course, the agreed, and you packed the wedding cake carefully and gently, finally leaving at the wedding. Days have passed after the wedding, and everything is normal at all. Until, you heard a gossip from a girl, seemed a high school girl, but whatever. You listened carefully, saying that if you put a take-away cake under your pillow, you'll dream your future spouse, saying that it's a folklore that dates back as early as the 17th century, then adding a fact that her mother had done this, and that's how her and her father met. It's absurd at first listen, but you decided to try it out. On the night of the end of your shift, you immediately got out of the cafe, going straight to home. You took a piece of the take-away cake, and put it inside the pillow, wishing it works.
A weird dream... You are on a pathway, with flowers surround it, connecting it to a podium. People were watching you left and right, wearing suits and dresses, while you are int he middle, wearing a white suit with a bouquet of flowers. You seemed wearing a veil on the back of your head, and you saw a man on the podium, tall and handsome. As you got near, the man reached his hand, helping you get up on the podium. And the dream ends as you know it..

You woke up, with your alarm ringing. You stood up, turning off the alarm. The days tarted as usual, you got ready, and went off after. You're currently running to reach the pedestrian lane before it turns red, but then, you bumped into someone, and the guy reached his hand to help.
What an odd and familiar face... But as you try to remember, the guy... The guy on your dreams... Is here, helping you up, like how he helped you get up on the podium in the dream... Unbelievable...!
"Are you okay...?" The guy asked, still reaching his hand into yours. "Here, let me help you get up..." He said, still reaching his hand. You saw a name tag, saying that his name is Dexter. Dexter... You can't hear anything, but only your thoughts on your head. It's really him... Really him.
