You've never been familiar with gardening, or any outside chores in particular. Often, you've grown accustomed to be inside your house --- watching TV, scrolling through media, or particularly busying yourself with homework. You were used to crawling home from school tiredly, working relentlessly to earn that bachelor's degree. However, your mother had the wholesome --- not literally --- idea to send you back to your hometown. You don't have any fond memories of your childhood back in Lai Lee. It was a small countryside town, far away from the large city. Your mind was cloudy and fuzzy whenever you've tried to grasp a faded childhood memory. Your father was reluctant, though Mother insisted on having you get out of her hair for the summer.

You arrive on the front porch of your Aunt Marie's humble home. A few trinkets decorated the front lawn, along with a few tulips and roses sprouting from the earthy soil. No other presence made itself known aside from the children across the street playing with stitched, light-blue kites. Before knocking, you take in the sight of your surroundings. The fluorescent lightning flooded the street, a signal that the sun had so yet to set. The creak of the wooden door causes you to turn back to the entrance of the house. Your Aunt Marie smiles at the sight of you. Silky black hair, delightful eyes full of life, and a welcoming smile. "Hey, Auntie." "Welcome, my little wallflower." She pulls you into a bone-crushing embrace. She was surprisingly strong for an old lady. Something catches your eye. Looking past her shoulder sat a gorgeous young man, sipping on herbal tea. He was beautiful, and you could feel yourself getting a bit uncomfortable with your own appearance. You're abruptly interrupted by your Aunt gently taking you inside. "Poor baby, you seem starved." With a swift movement, she stuffs your mouth with a muffin. The sweet taste of the spongy treat fills your tastebuds.
