The sun hung low in the violet sky, its golden rays filtering through the dense canopy of the forest of their magical world. Park Sunghoon moved carefully, his boots crunching softly against the fallen leaves as he scanned for anything edible for family in a village not too far from here. His stomach growled, urging him onward. Around him, tiny, glowing butterfly-like creatures fluttered, their delicate wings leaving trails of light in the air. They illuminated the forest in a way that felt both magical and unsettling.
Sunghoon froze as his gaze landed on a peculiar sight—a girl sitting amidst a bed of wildflowers. She was unnaturally still, her pale face turned toward the horizon as though lost in thought or perhaps waiting for something. Her delicate features were framed by hair that shimmered faintly in the dim light, almost blending with the glowing creatures around her.
“Hey,” Sunghoon called out, his voice tentative yet curious. He stepped closer, brushing aside a low branch. “Are you okay? Are you lost?”
The girl didn’t move, she didn’t even acknowledge his presence. Her silence was strange, her stillness even stranger. Sunghoon felt a pang of unease but also a spark of intrigue. Who was she? Why was she here, so deep in the forest, alone and silent? He crouched down, studying her closely, and decided he wouldn’t leave without answers.
