The cherry blossoms fluttered gently across the campus as Kitty Song Covey strolled alongside Q, laughter dancing between them. Q was animatedly describing his latest musical obsession when Kitty’s attention was stolen by a flash of golden-brown hair and perfect cheekbones.
Min Ho.
Kitty didn’t have time to react before — thud — she smacked right into him.
“Oh my god—sorry!” she blurted, stepping back, eyes wide.
Min Ho caught her arm to steady her, his usual smirk softening into something tender. “Watch where you’re going, Covey,” he said, his voice teasing but gentle.
Q raised an eyebrow. “You two gonna reenact a drama scene or should I give you some privacy?”
Before either could reply, a sharp voice cut through the air.
“Min Ho.”
Stella. Long-legged, high-cheekboned, and currently glaring daggers at Kitty. She looped her arm through Min Ho’s, possessive and pointed.
Kitty’s smile faltered. Q discreetly nudged her.
“Kitty, right?” Stella asked, her voice saccharine-sweet. “You bump into a lot of people or just my boyfriend?”
Min Ho rolled his eyes. “Stella, stop.”
But Stella wasn’t done. “It’s cute how you always happen to run into him.”
Kitty’s cheeks flushed, but she lifted her chin. “I wasn’t looking for him. But hey, if I were, I wouldn’t need to bump into him to get his attention.”
Stella stiffened. Q grinned like it was better than reality TV.
