“Sonic get off of me you idiot!” Shadow growled as the two hedgehogs plunged into the portal.

“I’m not touching you!” Sonic said, mildly amused.

The portal transported the two into a new realm, one filled with plants and vines.

The flora was purple, and the ground was a soft blue whereas the sky was a beautiful orange and pink.

Shadow landed on his feet, whereas Sonic landed on his face beside him a moment later.

“Ouch!” Sonic grumbled, but his voice was muffled by the grass.

“Hmph,” Shadow commented as he looked around, “Where are we?”

Sonic scowled and stood up, looking around as he brushed dirt off of him, “Who knows?”

“This is all your fault!” Shadow growled as he turned around to look at Sonic, pointing an accusatory finger at the blue hedgehog, “If you would’ve just stayed put-“

“Yeah, yeah, if I would’ve just stayed put we wouldn’t be here,” Sonic finished for Shadow, gently pushing the red and black hedgehogs finger down.

“Damn right,” Shadow grumbled as he rolled his eyes.

The two wandered around aimlessly for a while- well Sonic running ahead by using his super speed while Shadow stealthily walked, not drawing attention as he avoided twigs.

Sonic zipped back, his blue quills ruffled, “This forest goes on forever!”

As Shadow watched Sonic zoom off again he sighed, “Can you just stay still? You’re probably attracting unwanted attention.”
