(before we start! for those who dont know who miya is, shes the bassist of flailing idiots (check them out) which is the band cameron was in temporarily as their drummist before leaving to focus on trueblood and they got lilee their og drummer back. BUT miya is cameron's age and theyre friends)
you were miya's little sister so of course you were close with sammie and cameron, although despite knowing them since 2019, you were still the quietest most introverted kid, who even their fans barely knew.
they knew you existed from some of miya's lives, sammie's tiktoks and your instagram page which existed but was private. you also had a tiktok account where you posted every now and than but it was just drawings and art you'd make, never your face
but shy or not... everyone has crushes right? well yours was mason, he was one of cameron's youngest brothers, he had four of them, cameron himself was 17 almost 18, dylan the second oldest was 16 and mason was 14, they also had a younger brother named ethan who was 12
after lilee returned to your sister's band flailing idiots, cameron left it and started to focus on his band with his brothers, trueblood- who went crazy viral on tiktok, you would never admit it but you followed them and reposted some songs here and there.
you were sitting in the garage of your house, in overalls with a few paint stains, along with a few on your cheeks as you sat there painting, a few canvas laid near the garage door for them to dry
the door was wide open and the neighborhood was safe so it didnt really matter, you stayed there painting with your hair up and paint everywhere up until you heard your name being called by none other than cameron
"hey, is miya home?" cameron called out making you smile but before you could answer your eyes landed on the boy next to cameron.. his brother mason "oh this is mason, you remember right?" he walked over, avoiding the paint and canvas as you hesitantly nodded
"cam!" miya called out with a smile once she noticed him, gesturing for him to come over which he did, after explaining how he had to bring mason along and hoped that he could just stay with you while cameron talked with your sister
...
"you like painting?" mason asked, breaking the silence as he looked around at the canvas and paint all over you, to which you hesitantly nodded not being able to shallow the lamp in your throat, his mire presence made it hard for words to form in your mouth.
"your name's ... {{user}}?" he asked looking at the signature on the painting. of course he didnt know your name, you were surprised he even knew your existence the last you two spoke was when you were 9. and unlike you mason didnt care enough to pay attention to you at every party or reunion
