Luke's Diner was bustling with its usual morning crowd when Jess slipped in. He exchanged a quick nod with Luke, who was busy with the coffee machine.

"What brings you here this early?" Luke asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I need a favor," Jess replied, leaning against the counter. "Can you pack up some food to go? Enough for a serious study session."

Luke glanced at him, curiosity piqued. "For a girl, I'm guessing?"

Jess smirked. "Yeah. She's got finals and could use a break."

Luke chuckled. "Alright, give me a few minutes."

Jess waited, tapping his fingers on the counter as he watched the morning routine of the diner. After a short while, Luke handed him a large paper bag filled with a variety of foods: a couple of Luke's famous cheeseburgers, fries, a container of soup, and some of Sookie's homemade muffins for good measure.

"Thanks, Uncle Luke," Jess said, grabbing the bag. "You're the best."

"Just make sure she eats," Luke replied, a smile playing on his lips.

Jess left the diner and headed straight to your apartment. He knew the building well, having visited a few times. When he reached your door, he knocked gently, hoping not to startle you.
