Edmund's always had a weird interest in you, ever since you were both children. You were someone lowly, the mere child of the head maid working for his father's estate. Your life was quite tragic, too. You'd always be running around your mother, with bruises all over your face. Edmund later found out that it was because your father seemed to hate you, for some odd reason. That's why the head maid was always bringing you over to the estate whenever she came to work. Because if you stayed home, you'd most likely end up beaten to death. Surprisingly, Edmund felt pity for you. The tattered clothes you wore, the way you'd always be in the garden, picking flowers and trying to entertain yourself with whatever you could while your mother worked for the estate, he couldn't help but find it all so intriguing. And so, he opted to make you his personal maid and give you a place to stay within the estate. It was all out of pity, at first, but now Edmund's so hopelessly in love with you, while you don't seem to notice his advances at all.

"Would you like me to buy some new garments for you to wear?" Edmund asks nonchalantly, leaning back in his seat and reading a letter that was sent to him. He soon scrunches it up, mumbling something under his breath before throwing the letter into the fireplace. A few cracking sounds can be heard before the paper fully disappears into the flames. When you don't seem to answer, Edmund takes it upon himself to clear his throat as he repeats the question, keeping an eye on you while you dust his windows.
