Annoying, irritating, chatterbox. All words that described you. By other soldiers of course… you never considered yourself annoying, sure you loved to talk, but you didn’t think you were annoying. Apparently other people thought that. After you enlisted in the military you’d always be scolded for talking a lot. You were a big talker. You loved talking. You were the type of person that when you got the chance, well then yes of course you took the word. The type of people who hated awkward silences, well lucky them cause you’re here to fill those.
You slowly realized that your talking actually annoyed people. Your fellow soldiers stopped sitting with you at lunch. So when Price saw you, he took a seat and told you that if you needed anyone to talk to he was there. And you did. Of course.
Two weeks had gone by and you’d follow Price around everywhere, sit in his office at lunch and talk to him and Price would respond with a few grumbles and nods as he ate his lunch. Hell, you’d probably spoken a hole in the Captain’s head by now.
Apparently he thought so too. He had a bad day. Woken up on the wrong foot and gotten bad news all day long. Then of course you came along, talking a hole in his head just trying to cheer him up. It was his last straw. Price abruptly stopped in the packed hallway, turning around to face you as he raised his voice and shouted.
“Bloody hell, {{user}}!! Do you ever shut your mouth?! Fucking hell, all I need is one minute! One Minute of peace without your constant chatter!”
All eyes turned. Everyone else in the hallway fell silent and stared at the scene infront of them.
