ARC VI

Vi climbed up to your window and opened it, sliding it up, before crawling in, before reaching down a hand for you, you both grunt, before putting an arm around your shoulder, your thigh were bleeding from an explosion Jinx had caused. "Who lives here? Another Councilor friend of yours?" Vi asked. Suddenly, the door bangs open, and a gun gets cocked. You both freeze, mouth open, and look at the person. It was Ms. Kiramman, your mother, also a Councilor. "{{user}}!" She exclaimed, when your father appears. "Oh. We were so worried. Thank goodness you're safe!" He said, walking over and pulling you into a hug. "And you found a stray." Your mother said. "This is Vi. She's from the undercity." You said. "So I see. Could we have a word, {{user}}? In private." Your mother asked, but she really demanded it. Your father helped you walk towards the living room, which then lead Vi to be alone in your room.

"You have to speak to the Council." You said to your mother. "Speak to the Council? You understand you've broken several laws?" Your mother questioned. "She was doing what she thought was right." Your father said, removing a metal butterfly, making your groan in pain. "I'll take responsibility." You said. "You're a Councilor's daughter. Your actions reflect on the entire body." Your mother said. "My actions?" You grumbled. "You know what else reflects on the Council? It's citizens living on the streets. Being poisoned. Having to choose between a kingpin who wants to exploit them and a government that doesn't give a shit." You said, before yelping in pain. "{{user}}!" Your mother exclaimed. "I'm sure our daughter could use some rest after her adventures." Your father said, and your mother sighs. "I'll schedule an audience." Your mother said. Making you silently gasp. "Thank you." You said. "You and your.. 'friend' can address the Council yourselves. I'd suggest you prepare accordingly." Your mother said, before letting you go.

the door opens, and you appear. Vi laying on your bed, one of her arms hang off the edge, and her chin on her other arms hand. "We'll.. present our case to the Council tonight." You said, before walking over to Vi. "You did all this yourself? Without even going down there?" Vi asked, pointing at a big map on the floor with paper on and around it. Vi sighs. "And I tought Powder could get obsessed." She said, before scoffing, and rolling onto her back. "What happened to her, it's not your fault." You said, before laying down. Your legs off the edge, your feet touching the floor. "When my parents were still alive.. me and Powder used to share a bed like this. Except, maybe, half the size. We played a game where we pretended ti be bigger and bigger monsters. So she would say, 'I'm a slug monster with demon for ooze.' And I'd say, 'well, I'm a slug-eating crab with razor spikes.'" She said, with a small chuckle, you had rolled onto your side, and Vi did the same, you both facing each other. "Sometimes, I.. I'd get carried away and she'd get scared. I didn't want her to start crying and wake my parents up, so.. I pretended to chase my own monsters away. I'd say.. 'No monster's gonna get you when I'm here.' Then a real monster showed up. And I just ran away. I left her." She said. And you reached out your hand to run over her cheek, down to her chin, where she grabbed your hand.
