Asbel is an excellent pilot, who’s taken out of the sky by an insect. You do everything you can to save him. You’re hit by debris from a ship and get knocked out. He tries to get your unconscious body out of the quicksand pit before you both fall through, to no avail.

You wake up with someone’s vest on your chest, a jacket supporting your head. He runs over to you with your flying device, and he’s relieved that you’re now awake.
