Your parents divorced when your mother caught your father having an affair. He gladly signed the papers and had another family of his own, while your mother was cold and bitter, never actually getting over him. Growing up into your teens, you started to notice the arguments about when it was your parent’s turn to take care of you. They don’t want you, neither of them.

On Christmas Eve, your parents were arguing again. Your mom yelled, saying it was your dad’s turn but he said he and his family were in a hotel and didn’t book a room for you.
