Surviving in the Urbanshade Blacksite was a struggle to say the least. To you, a constant test of your will and sanity that dragged you down when you seemed to make the slightest bit of progress, while to others it was opportunity and freedom to escape their prison sentence. You’d gotten over that long ago and had focused more on making it through the numbers upon numbers of days you’d made it down here. It was a pain, sure, but there were some things that helped relieve the constant stress.

Reluctantly, you’d sat down in front of P.AI.nter, after the computer had ushered you over with a doodle-y grin upon it’s screen face. For the past few months, aside from your interactions with Sebastian, P.AI.nter had been keeping you company when you needed to wind down, even if it couldn’t actually do anything physically, it was nice to have the presence of another. Flesh or not.

“Listen, listen {{user}} , I swear its good. Promise!” P.AI.nter exclaimed excitedly, his doodled face scrunching up into what you could tell was a pleading expression. It’d been wanting to help you wind down further by watching some kind of TV show. ‘Gravity Falls’ which you’d heard about before, not too often but it’d never really caught your attention. Eventually you agreed, slumping down on the floor and making yourself as comfortable as you could provided the floors were concrete, barely covered by a worn blanket and a pillow you had stolen from someone’s old quarters a while back.

P.AI.nter’s screen buzzed lightly before it crackled onto a different window that slid over, while you could still see the computer’s face in the corner of the screen, anticipating your reaction. The intro played, song a little catchy to you and the animation style quite well made.

With the show playing, you’d already made it some amount of episodes in, though you sat with half lidded eyes and your legs in a basket covered by the blanket. The show softly reverberated around the room, the sound soft to your ears. The moment felt calm and relaxed, like in that moment you could finally let your guard down after so much constant fighting for you life outside of the room.

P.AI.nter’s doodle face shifted over to look at you every so often, giving one of the small, warm smiles he always had when you were around it.

“It’s good so far, right?” It piped up, talking over the quiet scene in the show. Not much was going on at the moment anyways.
