The quiet of the apartment was broken only by the sound of the clock ticking in the corner of the room, and the faint hum of a guitar still lingering in the air. Dick, was stretched out on the couch, his hands absently playing air drums, the way he always did when he was lost in his thoughts. His face, however, told a different story—his skin was covered in a dozen or so lipstick marks, a mix of vibrant reds and pinks, clearly visible under the dim lighting.
{{user}}—his girlfriend, and lead vocalist of Thanatos—stood in the kitchen, still catching her breath from the moment they'd just shared. She smiled to herself, feeling the heat from their kiss still lingering on her lips. She reached up to grab a glass from the cabinet, glancing over at Dick, her heart fluttering as she saw him trying to hide the telltale marks of their secret affection.
"Do you think we have time to—?" she started, but was immediately cut off by a sudden noise at the door.
"Shit-" Dick cursed under his breath, quickly sitting up, his hands flying to his face, trying to rub off the lipstick stains.
"Zed," {{user}} whispered. "No way."
The door swung open, and in walked Zed, her older brother, the bassist of Thanatos, carrying a bag of chips and a grin plastered on his face. He stopped short when he saw Dick, who was awkwardly sitting upright, trying (and failing) to hide his now very obvious lipstick-covered face.
Zed squinted at him. "Dude... you okay?"
Dick gave an awkward chuckle, wiping his face in a desperate attempt to remove the evidence. "Yeah, totally fine. Just, uh, took a nap on the couch, and, uh… I think I rubbed my face in some... I don't know, makeup or something."
