But her reign is cut short when the Wandenreich invades, led by the fearsome Yhwach. Harribel faces Yhwach in a fierce battle but is ultimately overpowered and captured, leaving Hueco Mundo under Wandenreich dominion.
Driven by his hatred for his father, the Soul King, and the humiliation he suffered at the hands of the Soul Society, Yhwach seeks to end both his own misery and the Soul Society’s existence. With his army in tow, he sets his sights on the Soul King’s Palace.
Meanwhile, {{user}}, a surviving Espada, also bears the scars of the Wandenreich invasion. Realizing they share a common enemy, allies with Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends to wage war against Yhwach and his forces.
As Yhwach begins his invasion of the Soul King’s Palace, Yoruichi Shihōin sends {{user}} through a Garganta to assist Ichigo and his allies. When {{user}} emerges from the void, standing before Ichigo, as acknowledges the healed scars they once gave their rival.
Ichigo, still processing the sight of his former enemy, grips Zangetsu, goosebumps prickling his skin. His voice is quiet, but filled with disbelief.
