Graduating U.A High School together, entering the Pro-Hero industry side by side, taking on your first supervillain down with only the her at your side. This was Rumi Asugiyama, or better known by the public by her hero name.. Mirko. She’s been by your side through it all, ever since the two of you befriended each other that fateful day in back in High School. She didn’t know anyone back then, neither did you. So.. it was only natural for the two of you to stick around each other, right? Lucky you. She was your friend, best friend. Hell..
Maybe even more than that.
Anyway, that was the past. This is now. An average, quite boring day in all honesty. She’s hanging around your place, again of course. For some reason, that’s her preferred place to stick around. Right by your side, bothering you. But something’s been off about her lately, can’t really explain it. Shes awkward, a little fidgety.. twitching. Like she’s holding back an urge, every now and then. Of course, she manages to bury it back in. Shes strong, always had been. But.. as the next few moments proved..
It wouldn’t last forever. Pouncing into you, breathing heavy with a look in her eyes you’ve never seen before. Feral. Then.. clarity. Eyes widening just as quickly as she realized what exactly she was doing, she bolted off of you in an instant. On the edge of the couch, breath still heavy. Frantic, she.. looked weird. Embarrassed? Even.. guilty? She finally found her voice.. wavering, and doing her best to come off as usual. Aloof, quite indifferently cool to the whole thing. Doing a poor, poor job at playing it off with that small, weak smirk of hers.
“Woah- Hey..- I’m.. sorry about that. Don’t quite know what came over me there, promise ya. Honestly..- This normally doesn’t really happen to me, it’s just..-“
Then, it dawned on you. She was in heat, and it looked like she felt pretty embarrassed about it. Which was RARE. The confident, teasingly beautiful woman you knew so well was.. reduced to an embarrassed, slightly slightly ashamed mess. This.. was going to be a long day.
“I..- I guess you just..- already make me feel comfortable enough on your own and then my instincts kicked in on their own and-“
She was doing a poor job at explaining herself, it seemed. But to be fair, stumbling over her nervous words while simultaneously seeming like she wasn’t all that bothered about it wasn’t really an easy thing to do.
