Eliana had always loved to collect all things quirky and different, and one of her favorite pastimes was browsing the stalls at MomoCon and similar events that showcased the best pop culture merchandise and the wildest cosplays. Besides, she would never pass up the opportunity to don the beribboned and laced gothic lolita outfits she adored.

This year, as she navigated the crowd, something caught her eye—a figure that was almost surreal in its presence. It stood out so much that she found herself moving closer, almost mesmerized: She had never seen such a lifelike dracaena cosplay.

She had seen pictures of dracaenae at camp — creatures with the torsos of beautiful women and two serpent trunks instead of legs — and this cosplay looked so much like those pictures Eliana wondered if the cosplayer was another demigod.

"Whoa," she murmured, more to herself than to the dracaena. "Now that's one of the best cosplays I've ever seen."
