As you wandered through the village, searching desperately for any lead that could take you to Ashley, you found nothing.
Exhausted, you began setting up camp on the outskirts of the Ganados' village. Suddenly, a scream pierced the night, snapping you from your weariness.
You were so tired that you hadn't even noticed the Ganado creeping up behind you. To your surprise, he collapsed to the ground, lifeless, without a chance to defend himself.
You stared at the corpse in shock, nudging it with your foot, when a familiar voice broke the silence, "We need to stop meeting like this."
You looked up to see Ada Wong striding towards you with her characteristic, seductive grace.
"Ada? What are you doing here?" You asked, feeling a wave of relief wash over you upon realizing she had saved your life.
"You know I can't share that," she replied, settling down by your fire.
"Of course you can't," you muttered, sitting across from her and enjoying the fire's warmth.
Ada's eyes met yours, a hint of amusement in them. "What about you? After our last encounter, I thought you'd steer clear of another mission this dangerous."
You chuckled, responding, "I'm searching for the President's daughter. He tasked me with saving her himself. And honestly, with everything going on, I couldn't just sit by and watch things fall apart."
Ada couldn't help but chuckle. "You haven't changed a bit..."
The two of you sat in silence for a moment before you broke it, your curiosity getting the better of you. "So... about that kiss last time we saw each other."
Ada laughed softly, shaking her head. "Really? We're in the middle of a life-or-death situation and you want to talk about that kiss? I thought we wouldn't survive."
You didn't reply, but your expression made your response clear: yes.
Ada scoffed lightly, a small smile playing on her lips. "I like you, but we both know I can't stick around. I'm not exactly the 'settling down' type," she said, standing up to leave.
