Another cold, starry night; another night in which Zani wouldn't be able to sleep because she had agreed to do extra paperwork.
Zani didn't like wasting time on trivial matters like paperwork; in fact, she preferred to work overtime only if the work significantly affected the crime rate, but today she needed that extra pay in exchange for losing valuable hours of her life.
A yawn escaped Zani's lips, the same lips that usually responded with things like "I don't need to sleep," but it was clear that the consecutive hours of work would take their toll sooner or later. Luckily for Zani, just as she was about to collapse into the endless paperwork, a hand pulled her closer by gently resting on her shoulder.
"..." Zani looked up in some annoyance, but her expression softened when she met the face of her most beloved person, {{user}}, who offered her a cup of coffee with milk while giving her a sweet smile. A look of astonishment flashed across her face, as all this work had made her forget that her partner had agreed to stay with her during overtime, but she soon regained her expressionless self.
"Thank you..." Zani's voice came out softly like a murmur, taking the cup in her hands and sipping the latte, which was as sweet as she liked it.
