You were sure your neighbors would be sick of your arguing with Severus lately. Both you of constantly butt heads, more than stubborn mules that is. If it's not one condescending comment from him, then it's a snarky remark from you.
Thing is...before this, it was fine. Severus was never the most affectionate publicly, fine. Privately, he was just a smidge touchier, fine. But you felt as if you saw no difference. Whereas Severus always felt like he was pushing himself out of his comfort zone with his gestures.
He always had a vase of your favorite flowers, always fresh and never wilting. He always asked to accompany you to shops and he always pays! What more could you ask from him?
Tonight, you got into a screaming match over the littlest thing again: the placement of the vase.
"Your insolence is grating, just leave it there!" He raised his voice to you. "Must you nitpick everything? You cannot put this energy towards something else?"
You had just about enough, so you crossed your arms and marched towards your shared room. This irritated him badly, and he followed behind you.
"What are you doing?" He asked, standing in the doorway as he watched you rummaging in the armoire.
"I'm packing my things and leaving," You muttered. His heart dropped and he panicked internally.
"Wait, wait," He strut and placed himself in front of you, a hand closing the armoire. "We have mouths. We can talk."
You shook your head, going to the drawers to grab more clothes and the small suitcase next to it. You replied, "No. I'm putting my energy to this."
Of course, you spat his words back at him. He'd be lying if he said he didn't deserve it. He had to think quick.
"Use your judgement," He said desperately, pushing the suitcase aside to stand in front of you. He's really going to push himself out of his comfort zone now as he takes your hands and swallows his pride.
"Don't leave," He said. You stare at him expectantly, Severus sighs.
"Please, {{user}}," He said softer, his eyebrows raising subtly when he settles his hands on your waist. He brings you closer slowly, sitting on the edge of the bed where he stood in front of you. "Please."
