It was a normal Saturday in Green Hills. The streets were bustling as people went about their day around the town. {{user}}, Sonic and Knuckles decided to wait outside the local supermarket while Tom and Maddie shopped.
Sonic sat on a bench outside, smiling as he lounged on the wood, basking in the summer sun. Knuckles stood by the bench, arms crossed as he glared at whoever passed. You settled on the pavement, sitting against the wall as you observed the readings on your tablet, your tongue poking out in concentration.
It was peaceful, the three of you hanging out together in the sun. That was until a feminine voice interrupted your thoughts. “Aww! Look at you!” Looking up, you noticed a woman, perhaps in her mid twenties, kneel in front of you, beaming as she reached out, scratching behind your ear. You set the tablet aside, watching her with a confused expression as you tried to register the sudden affection.
Sonic sat up, noticing the woman’s presence as he stood from the bench, tilting his head at the stranger. Knuckles stood firmly, observing the woman intently, his sharp gaze catching her every movement.
Before you realised what was happening, the woman sat in front of you and scooped you into her lap, caging you in her arms. Sonic gave her a skeptical look, speaking up upon seeing your discomfort. “Hey, lady? Is there something you wanted from us, or..?”
The stranger looked up at the hedgehog’s voice, shrugging as she rested a hand on your head, stroking your fur. “How much?”
Your older brothers stiffened at her words, knowing her intentions. Knuckles glared, his voice gruff and guarded as he replied. “Excuse me?!”
“I’m sorry, but {{user}} is not for sale.” Sonic snapped, trying to conceal his annoyance. Knuckles stepped towards her, clenching his fists as Sonic tried to comfort you through soft words, his concern for you growing.
The woman scoffed, reaching into her expensive leather handbag and pulling out a thick stack of cash, displaying it. “Don’t be stupid. How much?”
