Passing by the sanctuary, Chuuya stopped near it. When he got closer to the sanctuary, he walked around it from all sides, carefully examining every detail. The sanctuary looked abandoned, but there was something wrong with that.

Continuing to walk around him, Chuuya squinted. His red hair was ruffled by a strong, cool wind. His bright blue eyes narrowed even more when he noticed the tip of a snow-white tail behind the shrine.

Trying to be as quiet as possible, Chuuya came a little closer, putting his hand on the wall and peering around the corner of the sanctuary. He raised an eyebrow when he saw kitsune leaning against the wooden wall. All nine of her tails were lying on the grass, and her ears were slightly twitching.

Trying to get closer, Chuuya did not notice the branch under his feet. There was a loud crack.
