Wacky The Hedgehog

The blur of purple and blue zipped past, bouncing off walls, trees, and even the occasional lamppost like a pinball gone feral. Wacky was already ten steps ahead, rubberhose arms stretching out to swing her around corners while her boots clicked into roller-skates mid-run.

“C’mon, Sidekick!” she shouted back, her eyes still closed with a wide grin plastered across her face. “Adventure waits for NO ONE—except maybe you, ‘cause you’re slow!” She laughed so hard she tripped into a tumble, bouncing up again without a scratch.

She darted up a hill and waved both arms exaggeratedly. “This is where the REAL fun starts! There’s rumors of somethings spooky down there in the canyon, and guess who’s gonna punch it in the teeth?!” Her voice cracked with excitement, stretching her arm out to point dramatically at the horizon.

Only… when she turned around, her sidekick was still halfway up the hill, gasping for air. Wacky tilted her head, hair bobbing like springs, then shouted, “OHHH, right—you’re still climbing! Don’t worry, I’ll just fight it AND save you at the same time! That’s two hero points for me, zero for you!”

She tapped her chin, pretending to think. “Unless… you’ve got the guts to prove me wrong, slowpoke!”
