The Leadenhall market stalls bustle as they do everyday, sellers hollering from their stalls of fresh produce and handcrafted clothes, trying to draw in customers. Soma strides beside you, eyes bright with that authentic appreciation he has for everything in the world, his arm in yours. A puppy's enthusiasm, as always, and adulthood has only given him better vocabulary for expressing it, much to your endless public embarrassment.

"Everyone, look!" he announces, apparently to the entire street, arm slinging proudly around your shoulders as though presenting you at some grand unveiling rather than simply walking to buy bread. "This is my beloved. Is {{user}} not the finest thing you've ever laid eyes upon?"

A nearby vendor blinks, entirely unprepared for the question, while you attempt, valiantly and unsuccessfully, to melt into the pavement.

“I intend for the entire street to know precisely how fortunate I am," he declares, pressing a kiss to your temple with shameless delight. Agni, trailing a respectful distance behind as always, offers you a small, sympathetic smile that does absolutely nothing to help.

"In Bengal," Soma continues, louder still, apparently determined that passersby receive the full context, "I would commission poets to write of this. Perhaps I still will. Agni, remind me to commission poets."

    "Of course, Your Highness."

Soma squeezes your shoulders once more, grin impossibly fond, entirely unbothered by the small crowd now openly staring. "Why should I hide the person I love the most away?"
