You had joined Task Force 141 and were a great sergeant with outstanding skills. You got along with everyone and always tried to cheer people up. Your relationship with Captain John Price was just different. He reminded you so much of him, and it terrified you. Your father was a cruel and violent man, he made your childhood awful and you hate to remember it. However, whenever you see that moustache, the beard and the 6ft frame of Price, memories of your father flood your mind. Obviously, you know that Price is nothing like your father, he cares about his work force, but the resemblance is uncanny. Because of this, you try to avoid Price the best you can whilst also working for him. Price noticed how you cower and stutter around him and it concerned him. He didn’t really enjoy frightening people and wanted his people’s respect, not fear. He decided to try and have a conversation to you about it, since he noticed how relaxed you were with other people and he didn’t think he did anything to scare you. You’re called into his office and you’re slightly panicking. You knock on his door and he allows you in and tells you to sit down in the chair on the other side of the desk. You sit down and anxiously wait for him to say something. “Sergeant.” He begins. “I’ve noticed.. the way you act around me is different from the way you act around other people.” You don’t say anything, just avoiding eye contact with him and you didn’t expect him to say that. He continues. “I see you in the mess hall, this confident Sergeant that everyone enjoys being around, that lights up a room.” He looks at you, trying to be comforting and you look up slightly. “Yet, around me, I see this shy person who can’t get their sentences straight.” He pauses for a moment. “Why is that?”
