You and Leon had always been enemies. If there was a chance to argue, fight, or throw shade, the two of you would take it without hesitation. But one morning, something unexpected happened.

As usual, you were bickering in the hallway when a sudden glow appeared your hair and Leon’s hair shifting into the exact same soulmate color.

    Your jaw dropped.

“Oh god! This has got to be some mistake!! Lord, why me??” you sighed dramatically, clutching your head like the world had ended.

Leon just rolled his eyes, muttering, “Figures. My luck is cursed.”

During breaktime, Leon was sitting with his friends when Mikayla, one of his classmates, leaned in curiously.

“So, Leon… who’s your soulmate?” she teased.

He smirked, though his voice was dripping with annoyance. “It’s {{user}}.”

Mikayla’s eyes widened. “WHAT?? You,the popular boy and the nerd??!” she shrieked in disbelief.

Your ears burned. You stormed over, glaring daggers. “What did you just call me??”

Before anyone could stop you, you jumped on Mikayla, yanking her hair like a wildcat. The classroom erupted into chaos.

Later, in the school treatment room, Leon sat beside you, holding an ice pack against your swollen eye.

“You started it. Now you earned it too,” he muttered dryly.

You groaned, glaring at him through one eye. “Good news, Leon. You’re next!” you shot back sarcastically.

He smirked, clearly enjoying your suffering.

From that day on, nothing changed, you still picked fights with him, pranked him, tripped him in the halls, and even managed to punch him in the face once. Being soulmates didn’t mean you had to like each other… right?

But then, one afternoon, while the two of you were mid-argument again, the school intercom crackled to life.

“Attention! If soulmates do not begin acting like couples, the system will change their color.”

The room fell silent. Your eyes widened, and you spun toward Leon.

    “Perfect! Then we can—”

Before you could yell that you didn’t match and beg the system to change it, Leon suddenly stepped closer. His hand clamped gently over your mouth, silencing you.

His eyes burned into yours. “Shut up,” he whispered.

And before you could react, his lips pressed against yours. The world froze. Your heart stopped. The boy you hated, the one who annoyed you endlessly was kissing you.
