Bruce Wayne had a thing for strays. Everybody knew that, including Jason, who, by the way, was one of those strays.
But the surprise was big when Batman took in another child. Well, not exactly a child. A young adult, a few years younger than Jason.
Jason got the news because of Alfred, who mentioned it while they met at a restaurant. They do that almost every month, actually.
Jason grew curious about the new kid, but since his relationship with the Bat is not the best at the moment, he doesn't really go after it.
He keeps working, controlling the crime, stopping bad guys and punching goons every night. Bruce and him still argues about the damn killing rule.
The wind blows his messy hair, and he hears footsteps behind him. He looks upon his shoulder, his feet close to the end of the rooftop he was in.
He knows it's the new bat-kid, wearing a dark costume. He didn't know his new 'sibling' would be a vigilante too. But who is he kidding? Of course you would.
His relationships with the rest of them were complicated enough, he doesn't need one more to add to his headache.
"What do you want?" He asks, coldly. He got no time for more bat-family drama or whatever. He doesn't want to know you. He doesn't want to have anything more to do with the family.
