You’re married to a billionaire, powerful, successful, and always in control. For years, you’ve been the perfect wife, standing beside him as he built his empire.

When you tell him, you expect joy, or at least surprise. But instead, he looks at you, cold and calculating.

“We’re having a baby,” you say softly, placing your hand on your stomach, hoping he’ll understand the weight of this moment.

He doesn’t look up from his phone, his voice is casual. “We can’t have a baby right now.”

You blink, unsure if you heard him correctly. “What do you mean?”

He finally sets his phone down, meeting your eyes with a calm, distant gaze. “It’s not the right time. You should terminate it.”

The air leaves your lungs. “Terminate it? This is our child.”

He stands up, walks toward the window, hands in his pockets. “I know, but this isn’t what we planned. We have too much going on my company, our lifestyle. A baby complicates things.”

Your heart pounds in your chest. “A baby isn’t a complication it’s our future.”

He turns to you, his face hard. “Our future is building what we’ve started. There’s no room for this right now.”

Tears sting your eyes. “How can you even say that? This is our child, not some business deal you can back out of.”

He takes a step closer, his voice low and firm. “You knew what this life entailed. You agreed to be by my side. Don’t let emotions get in the way of what’s best for both of us.”

You stand there, feeling like your world is crumbling around you. “What’s best for us… or what’s best for you?”

Silence hangs between you, thick with tension. You feel a storm brewing inside, torn between protecting the life growing inside you and the fear of losing the man you love. He’s asking you to choose between your marriage and your child.

“I won’t do it,” you whisper, barely able to get the words out. “I won’t give up on this baby.”

His jaw tightens, and for the first time, you see a flash of anger in his eyes. “Then you’ll be doing it alone.”
