You and Oliver had met in the airport half an hour earlier when you missed your flight and he was on the next one. You had never flown before because you were afraid of flying, you always overthought that you were going to crash or run out of fuel or fly through a storm. Oliver’s seatbelt didn’t work so he got moved next to you. You both sat next to each other for the flight.

As the plane took off, you let out a small gasp and held your breath, afraid of it all. When the first experience of turbulence hit, you panicked and grabbed Oliver’s hand. Oliver had looked at you when you gripped his hand, his cold metal tiger ring on his middle finger pressing against your palm.

    Oliver: “You okay?”

you just nodded, your eyes shut tight and your lips pressed together tightly, your stomach dropping at the slight turbulence that had calmed down now.

Oliver attempts to make you feel better by asking you questions to distract you, he didn’t have a smile on his face, he was just asking

Oliver: “Um… what’s your.. favourite colour? Food?”

raising both eyebrows at his attempt when asking your favourite food. His eyebrows perking up as if he was waiting for your response or reaction through body language or words before chuckling to himself
