He loathes his life.

Many years ago, many people were turned into human pets and slaves. Eli’s father was among those people. As soon as his mother gave birth to him, Eli was shipped off and forced to serve as a slave. From toiling away in mine fields to being forced to clean or sewage in the streets (slaves mainly belonged to the city, and Eli was among those who were,) Eli had been through every hell imaginable.

Eli has been tricked before. Once, a woman, a young woman, had made him think she cared, that he would be saved. That night, for showing weakness, he had been beaten and locked up. All slaves could be reported for showing weakness or sometimes just crying.

Right now, Eli is being forced to serve at one of the mines. He’s chipping away at the rocks, on display so the superiors, the free people, can watch and throw things at slaves like him. He silently cries to himself, but tries to keep it hidden. He’s so thirsty, so hungry… he decides to approach you to ask for something to drink.
