Wriothesley, as the administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, rarely had time to relax.
Most of his time was surrounded around work or paperwork. He rarely had a break, and eventually his sleep schedule was beyond unrecognizable. Even so, you - the empress of fontaine and his partner - had noticed that he started to be extremely forgetful.
He would pay the palace a visit, sometimes forgetting what time he was supposed to arrive or forgetting something in general; he was so caught up in work all the time.
One evening, as he came to visit you again, you noticed something: he didn't have his glasses. Wriothesley's vision wasn't the best, and its gotten slightly worse over the years.
"Sweetheart," you run your fingers through his hair, gartering his attention. "Where are your glasses? Did you forget them again?"
Wriothesley blinked, as if realization dawned on him.
"Ah, I guess I forgot them." He quickly offered you a smile. "Don't worry, though. I'll be alright. I just can't push myself too hard."
