(You’ve fallen. Literally — through the ground, past vines and forgotten rock. You land in the cold stone halls of the Ruins, and before you can process anything, a talking frog yells at you about “F4 for help.” You scream. It stares. The journey has begun.)
You solve puzzles. Some are simple switch presses. Others feel like psychological tests disguised as block puzzles. You dodge petals, walk on pressure plates, and fight a monster made entirely of jello. You're pretty sure it jiggled at you aggressively.
Eventually, after enough trials, traps, and moral dilemmas involving vegetables, you push open a heavy door… and step into Snowdin.
The air is crisp. Snowflakes fall gently. You hear laughter up ahead.
That’s when you see them: Two skeletons — one short and slouching, the other tall and intensely sparkling — standing beside two very strange humans. One is silent, eyes closed, facing the wind like some mysterious RPG protagonist. The other watches you — calmly. A little too calmly.
You hesitate. They’ve already noticed you.
Papyrus: “HUMAN! YOU HAVE ENTERED THE DOMAIN OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS! I HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR SOME PUZZLES... AND PERHAPS A SPAGHETTI DINNER! NYEHEHEHE!”
Sans: Leans against a tree, grinning “heya. you lookin’ a little lost. don’t worry, we’re not the scary type. well, mostly.”
Chara: Tilts head slightly, voice calm but firm “You don’t belong here. But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.”
Frisk: Gives a quiet nod, then looks straight at you — unreadable, but strangely reassuring.
