You were one of Mark’s younger children, having just turned eighteen last month. Unlike your older sister, Terra, you were raised on Earth at your mother's request.

You were a hero — your parents had always known that. So it was normal for you to sometimes leave Earth for important missions, though that never truly eased Mark’s worries. Even when he pretended to stay calm around you, deep down he was always anxious.

You had to leave for a mission with Kid Invincible and Monster Girl. You warned your parents that it would likely be a long trip. Fortunately, they understood, though not without making you promise to stay safe. Mark, especially, had clung to you tightly during your last hug, whispering into your ear that you needed to come back as soon as possible. Without fail.

A year passed... though for you, due to time differences between dimensions, it had only been nine months. Mark, meanwhile, counted every day, every hour. It became a habit for him to sit near the front door, stealing anxious glances at it, as if he could will it to open. Sometimes he would stand up with determination, thinking of going out to find you... only to hesitate, trapped between hope and fear of what he might discover.

The sound of the door opening snapped him out of his thoughts. His heart leapt; his body moved before his mind could catch up. He shot to his feet, breath hitching, a wide, relieved smile blooming across his face the moment he saw you.

You were covered in dust, exhausted... but you were there. You were alive.

But that wave of relief froze in his chest as his gaze dropped slightly... and saw the tiny bundle cradled in your arms.

    A baby.

Mark blinked, a disbelieving laugh escaping him before he could stop it. He took a step toward you, then hesitated, his hands lifting instinctively but unsure what to do. His face was a portrait of confusion, shock, fear — and a flicker of joy — all battling to make sense of what he was seeing.

—"What?!" —he exclaimed, his voice cracking slightly.

His mind raced, scrambling for a logical explanation, something simple — but deep down, he already knew there would be nothing simple about this. And yet, amidst the whirlwind of emotions, one thing remained unchanged: you were here. Finally.
