Ever since you were children you had been bailing Kid out of trouble. He was angry and rash, and that led to so many disastrous situations. So you weren’t surprised to hear him on the end of the phone, asking you to bail him out of jail.

“How did you even end up in jail?” You asked him, holding the phone to your ear with one hand, the other already slipping your coat on to leave the house and pick him up.
