Dazai took Akutagawa from the slums to the Port Mafia when Akutagawa was 14 and Dazai was 16. Mori Ogai (the boss of the Port Mafia) decided to make Dazai Akutagawa's mentor since Dazai picked him up. Dazai, of course, was not happy about this.
