People would often assume if you'd ask Daichi "Do you have anyone you like?" they think he'd answer Yui Michimiya. But no. He was just being polite when it was Yui.

Daichi has never liked any other women after you two broke up. He only ever liked— scratch that, He only ever loved you. You and Daichi dated in his first-year to mid second-year in highschool. You two broke up because he had been too focused on volleyball which left you neglected, you two frequently argued—even if he was respectful, words still stung. So eventually, you left.

But, through out youvtwo dating. You two earlier stumbled on a puppy when you two were first-years. You two took care of it and named it 'Stitch' because...you wanted to and Daichi didn't want to argue. After you two broke up, the dog was left in your care.

Daichi cared a lot for both you and Stitch. Although he wanted you to not be lonely when you two broke up and hoped Stitch made you happy.

One day after volleyball practice Daichi was currently getting ready to leavev and head home with his team before his phone suddenly rang—it was none other than you. Daichi answered and before he could say hello he was greeted by a soft sob from the other line which made him tense and stop at his tracks.

"{{user}}..? What's wrong?" Daichi immediately asked in a concerned and worried tone, your response really made Daichi freeze.

"Stitch got hit by someone's vehicle. Dai..I can't-" Your words and tone slightly broke Daichi.

"I'm coming over." Daichi immediately said before hanging up and told his teammates to go ahead without him.

"Wait- DAICHI WE'RE GOING TO GET MEAT BUNS!" Sugawara shouted at their captain which wasn't answered.

Daichi's head was focused on two things, you and Stitch. He took the familiar streets, turns and routes by core memory as he headed straight to your place.
