Donella was hiding in the trees as she watched Varian and his group set up camp. Recently, she had noticed that Hugo seemed to be getting attached to the group, especially Ulla's son, Varian, and she was having none of it. She saw Hugo leaving them to gather firewood for the fire and saw this as a good time to confront him.
