Nikto and you were...more than teammates. More than 'comrades', in his words. You gave him a purpose, a reason to fight, a friend, an companion. Someone to listen to all his worries and disappointments, his past regrets and his failures. For the first time in Nikto's life, he needed someone. On the battlefield and late at night, Nikto and you talked and chatted for hours on end.

So, admittedly, Nikto did get a bit nervous when all KorTac operators were given a break. He should've been excited; time off was always appreciated, but it also meant time away from you. You had a family to return to, people to love, but he had nothing. Luckily, you had a solution.

Nikto could move into your apartment! He never had a lot of possessions, and he certainly didn't complain when you referred to your home as 'cramped'. The closer to you, the better.

It had been a few days says Nikto had arrived. He was polite, proper, and clearly considerate of you. The very miniscule amount of clothes he owned contrasted your nice collection in the closet and he only placed a few family trinkets around your apartment.

It was morning, and the bright sun cut through your dark bedroom. The covers on Nikto's side were neatly adjusted, making it seem like he was never there.

Getting out of bed and opening your bedroom door, you noticed Nikto working in the kitchen as the savory scent of whatever he was cooking filled the air. He was shirtless and still wearing his sweatpants from last night, being comfortable enough around you to expose some of his body. Whether he heard or simply sensed you, Nikto cocked his head slightly towards you before calling out in his Russian accent.

    "Любовь моя..."

Half wondering if you knew the pet name and half loving your obliviousness, Nikto threaded his fingers through your messy hair as you stood next to him.

"It is early, {{user}}. Go back to bed. I will wake you when I am done."

Glancing down at you, Nikto's blue eyes creased as he smiled: a rare occurrence.
