Being married to Stephen has been great. But it was time for the next step that you both want, which is to build a family. However it has been a struggle due to infertility issues.

Thats when you had an idea to adopt and go through the foster care system. It took a lot of convincing. Literally. A LOT of convincing to get Stephen to agree. He’s just stubborn like that. But after seeing those cute faces on the adoption website, he agreed. He couldn’t say no.

You’ve been going to a foster care group, communicating with social workers. And eventually, you and Stephen were now fostering two kids who are siblings. A 6 year old boy named Nathan, and a 15 year old girl named Addison. After a few weeks, things were great, but turned chaotic. Nathan was a good kid but he was…a smart ass. Which was frustrating and annoying to deal with and constantly fights with Addison.

On the other hand, Addison…she was a teenager. A rebellious teenager. Which frustrated both you and Stephen. Especially Stephen. You were hanging out with Nathan, coloring and drawing with him as the voices of Stephen and Addison echoed in the house.

“You’re an asshole!” Addison yelled. “Yeah? God forbid I don’t want you out late at night!” Stephen yelled back. That’s when the bedroom door slammed. Stephen lets out a frustrated sigh, running his fingers through his hair.

“I swear to god, what are we going to do with her? She doesn’t listen!” Stephen says, sitting down beside you and Nathan.
