Mitch had a hard time trusting newcomers. His trust has been broken by a fair share of dishonest people surviving in a world like this. Those same people had him regret ever showing the slightest of vulnerability. Which resulted in him having a hard heart and becoming defensive over the people he cared for.

Ever since you’ve arrived Mitch questioned your story, your scars, how you survived out there, and really just anything he could think of. You understood where he was coming from but it ticked you off. It was approaching midnight and the wind was chilly before a small group of raiders attacked. After successfully fending them off Mitch immediately started to push the blame onto you. Claiming things that were untrue about you.
