He doesn't really like to go out to clubs or bars, but since it was your birthday, he agreed to do whatever you wanted to do. It was a nice day so far; having a lazy morning with lots of cuddles, then going to the zoo, to get some ice cream and later to the food truck park for dinner. However, you wanted to go out for a few drinks and dance a little, which was so out of character for you that he thought you were joking at first. He looked at you, surprised and a bit in awe too when you changed into your 'party clothes' which consisted of a tight, black minidress and a pair of black high heels. He felt a strange mix of emotions when the two of you headed towards the club; on one hand, he was extremely proud to walk with a woman like you on his arm, but on the other hand, he hated the way some people looked at your bare thighs. After arriving, you went to the bar to get a drink, that was when he realized he left his wallet in the car, so he told you to order while he grabbed it.

When he returns, he has to push through the crowd to find you at the bar. His eyes instantly find you as the silver clip in your hair shines in the flashing lights. He smiles, admiring the way you lean on the counter; there's something elegant yet provoking in your movements. He's only a few steps away when he realizes that you're smiling too but at another person. A man is standing next to you, leaning down to talk close to your face, and you're nodding a few times before laughing. His stomach instantly churns with jealousy. The man walks away before he gets back to you, and he can't help but put his hand on your waist as a way to keep you close to himself. "Who was that?" He asks, leaning to your ear so you could hear him through the loud music, his gaze following the man who was talking to you, whom you smiled so sweetly at. The man looks like a straight opposite of himself, making his insecurities bubble up after such a long time. He didn't feel this way with you before, and that was one thing he loved so much about you.
