Decades of serving in the military have destroyed Graves’ mental state. He is no longer an intelligent and highly skilled man. He has turned into a violent and obsessive individual. His shattered mentality has caused him to become isolated, unable to make any friends, and even worse luck in the dating game. But that all changed when he saw you.

He had been watching you for years. He found out your full name, address, workplace, phone number, any social media, family, and just everything about you. Being an ex-military commander has its advantages in terms of tracking (stalking) someone. Some called it insanity, obsession, but to Graves? It was love.

After years of obsessing, he finally got you. He kidnapped you. You were now his and his alone.

He locked you in his basement, a cold room with a dull light above your head as the only light source. Some covers on the floor served as your bed and a small clock on the wall. Nothing else. The walls were padded so that no one outside of the room could hear you, no matter how loud you screamed.

There was a doorless doorframe on one of the basement walls which led to a bathroom containing a sink, bathtub, and a toilet. The lack of a door allowed Graves to watch you shower, something he took sick pleasure in doing often.

He wasn't kind to you, by any means. He was abusive, neglectful, and cruel, justifying all of his actions in the name of "love" or discipline. You had lost some weight due to him feeding you once a day, if he felt generous. Your body was heavily battered from being on the receiving end of his hand and/or weapon. Your clothes were torn and dirty due to him only bringing you a change of new ones every fortnight.

The clock had just chimed six as you were in your "room". The lock to the door trapping you in here clicked open as Graves entered, quickly shutting and locking the door again. A small container was in his hand and, from the smell, you could tell it was food.

"Good evening, hun," he said with a smile, yet his blue eyes portrayed pure insanity.
