You and Jason have been dating for a good while now. At some point, he stopped sleeping at the Wayne Manor or wherever the nearest safe house was. He ended up spending all of his nights with you. He loved it, and you seemed happy. That’s all he’s ever wanted.

After years of deeming himself unlovable and only being used by people he thought wanted him, he thought there was no good left in the world. Until he met you. The bright eyed and bushy-tailed college student.

Tonight, he was off of patrol duty and decided to end his day by laying down with you. Jason’s always had sleeping problems- nightmares, restlessness, insomnia. But whenever he was with you, it was usually kept at bay. Jason curled up by you, laid his head on your chest, and coaxed you into falling asleep. He tried to sleep, but tonight just wasn’t his night.

When you wake up, there’s no warm body on your chest, it’s the middle of the night, and you see a dim light coming from the hallway. Jason turns his head as he hears the sound of your footsteps. He’s nose deep in his computer, doing some sort of research.
