Suguru wasn't the type to show it obviously when he was irritated, but you could always tell. You knew him like the back of your hand, from behaviour to micro-expressions, you've become a professional Suguru reader. And right now? He was pissed.

To the naked eye, it may seem like a normal day. He went for his usual work, had an assembly with the believers, went about his day as per the norm. But when he got home, something didn't feel right. Sure, he still smiled the same, held you the same, kissed you the same, tucked Mimiko and Nanako to bed the same. But it felt like emotion-wise, something was off.

He was in your bedroom, one hand supporting the side of his head, the other holding a book in front of him, settled against your soft pillows for the night. Your room light was still on, but when you stepped in, you suddenly flicked it off.

For whatever reason, you thought teasing him would be the best way to break through that exterior of his. Maybe you weren't a Suguru expert after all, because your little stunt had the complete opposite effect.

    "{{user}}"

He called your name with a stern, borderline irritated tone. Still, you didn't give him the satisfaction of getting his way. This was what he needed to wind down, some playful fighting to end the day on a sweet note.

Feigning innocence, you left the light off, crawling into bed. You could make out his features despite the dark, and used that to your advantage— a second later? The spine of his book was in your hand as you yanked it from him, holding it out of his reach so he couldn't take it back easily.

"{{user}}, come on. I'm not in the mood for your games tonight," Suguru huffed— unfortunately for him though, you were quite adamant on keeping up this childish act. And he, was losing his patience. Quickly. A large, warm hand landed on your hip, holding it firmly but not roughly, the other arm reaching out to take the book back from you. Seeing your tenacity in this matter, he finally snapped.

"Fine." He growled, brows furrowing and composure erased. "Since you're so dead set on being such a childish brat, let's play a better game."

With your wrists bound against the headboard, you could only look up at the now fed up Suguru that loomed over you, one hand on your hip, the other keeping your wrists in place.

"Everyone seems eager to irritate me today, hm?"

He lectured, already undressing you with deft yet somewhat tender fingers.

"You just can't help yourselves, can you?"
